Just cause I hate waiting, I realised you can click on your rank and it will sparkle and occasionly spin. Still though, waiting 10 mins to join a match is ridiculous.

They also nerfed the Quick Fix to the point where it's utterly useless. thx valve

I wouldn't say it's utterly useless just not as good as before.
It was by far the best medigun for matchmaking so it probably needed a bit of a nerf because of that.

Because of the huge differences between 12v12 and 6v6 it's going to be impossible to perfectly balance some weapons for both formats. I do think turning off random crits for 12v12 would help with balancing between modes though. I honestly was expecting them to do it with this update and was pretty shocked when they didn't.

"Quickplay", right?

At this point, I've just given up. There's no point in playing this game when it fails to maintain a connection to the TF coordinator which is the only way to get the stock TF2 experience of no-nonsense, stock maps gameplay and when it finally DOES connect you're stuck for 20 minutes while the game is stuck in an endless searching loop.

Sorry, but any coordinated team running kritz against quickfix would win, before and after this update

It is completely useless now. Its two best features - what made it worth choosing over other mediguns - have been made completely redundant (matching the speed of a faster heal target now being a default stat for all mediguns, and the ubercharge rate now being even slower than the Kritzkrieg even though a Kritz uber would completely demolish a Quick Fix uber)

So, after only 1 hour, playing 3 matches lasting ~10 mins each I've noticed some less obvious problems.
If you want to pick a certain game mode, you can't.

See that "3 excludes remaining"? Yea, that means you have to have atleast 2 gamemodes selected to queue.

Don't get me wrong, I like alot of things about this update, but I feel alot of what they did was unnecessary.

So community servers still work like they used to?
Seems like they might be making a comeback

A lot of people (Valve included) are hoping community servers fill the gap left by the removal of pubs. That being said, until community servers can step up and offer smooth experiences, a wide range of maps, and reliable ping, things are going to be difficult for a lot of people.

Community servers are our only hope now. Valve pubs are pretty much gone.

The server browser is now filled with instant-respawn, 24/7, bot-infested, ad-spamming "premium perks" servers, or ones only running cp_orange maps/other non-standard maps like jailbreak or Mario servers, and any proper community server that's around is buried by all of the above. Yes, they are community servers, but not the type of community servers people are hoping to see. Those have been long gone ever since Quickplay was introduced the way it was before this update, and good luck getting a proper quality server setup in the current sea of shit
which you just can't.

Always fun to see your casual game search being stuck in an endless loop because the game coordinator (again) crapped the bed. Great that it doesn't tell me that, too.

This whole update was based on the views of a minority in Tf2: The competitive players.
They got the update they wanted with the changes they wanted, while the (let's say) 90% of other players got worse than nothing. Worse than nothing because it took away the thing we all used to use: Quickplay servers.
I was hopeful for this update because it would allow the minority of players to get the thing that they were missing and had to make themselves (ESEA, UGC) for 9 years.
But instead they forced the majority to move over to a system that they have never used and have never wanted.

I can't even enjoy playing on Community Servers now because of my weapon view models being stuck at 70. (I normally play at 85-90.) While I completely support the idea of the new minimal view models, the change of having to play with the weapon either right up in my face or only kinda being able to see it with it still being too close to my face is personally the worst part of this update and the worst update so far.

(At least I could still enjoy playing the game after EOTL or Gun Mettle.)

I'm convinced they did this to try and bring life back to TF2 by appealing to competitive. But all they did was alienate the non-comp players. They could have at least kept some old quickplay servers for those who want to drop in and drop out.
