My 72hr map is coming along, though it has made it painfully obvious how slowly I get stuff done.

It's a 2cp a/d map, the 2nd cap area is almost complete but all these are of the 1st area:

VRAD took about an hour and a half
Existing model turned into whatever shape that is... just for the heck of it? Not that I'm not impressed. I can hear VRAD cry in the background.

I thought I was looking at geometry with broken texture alignments at first. Then I thought it was the result of overlapping rendering (that thing that happens when you're missing a skybox, aka the "solitaire effect"). Now I have no idea what's going on.

I thought I was looking at geometry with broken texture alignments at first. Then I thought it was the result of overlapping rendering (that thing that happens when you're missing a skybox, aka the "solitaire effect"). Now I have no idea what's going on.

It's a brush Paste Special-ed 256 times with some transformations applied. Originally I was just messing around with crate props and using the brush as way to offset the rotation origin, but sometimes the brushes made the more interesting shape. The 2D views were fantastic.

I imported the file into Rhino and did a render to get nice crisp shadows and applied some coloration to make ~arte~

Those trees are gonna look HUGE when used in a map. Not sure if intentional.

right, I didn't realize how big they actually are. Gonna update my download with a smaller version, the trees actually take like half of the screen.

a handful of screen from hoto_b11, still not sure it its worthy enough to be called rc, still a bunch of things I wanna do, but too little time...this map spawned during the last 72hr event and I thought it would give some poetic closure to spend time working on it this (past) 72hr event,
