I may not know how to map yet, but I hope it's okay if I post WIPs of some map prop retextures I've been working on!
Void's been real nice and he's been teaching me a lot about how to decompile/recompile existing tf2 models. I've wanted to do some handy retextures for so long and I'm happy with what I've learned so far, I plan on including all of these things in the next version of my urban pack from the jam. Here's what I've been learning over the past few days!
The road bumps are a retexture of a prop from hydro, and the spinning signs is just the upgrade sign from every MvM map upgrade station! There's more skins that I haven't shown off yet, it's really cool seeing it all in-motion, though:
I also recently just started on better skins for the siren model from the spytech props folder within tf2 today, all come with an on/off variant:

this. Void might help me to make it possible to have the lights flash like this, too!
I'm still learning lots, but it's been a very relaxing experience so far. Hoping to do more real soon! Let me know if this is too image-heavy!
