Your First Map Gameday - March 17th, 2019

Id like to submit pd_overpass if that's ok. This isnt technically the first thing Ive made but it's the first like map that was actually in a playable state by any standard. Still TECHNICALLY working on it but it's been so long since Ive posted an update and it's so different now from this that it's barely even the same map at this point and Ill probably just make it its own map in turn. Its a really weird and janky version of player destruction with instant collect team colored pickups and flags like out of robot destruction that the enemy can steal. Its pretty bad as expected from a first map but hopefully there's something interesting there.

This is my first (and only) original TF2 map that I've released. I first learnt mapping in HL2DM where I made a couple of small unreleased maps. Most of my time in TF2 mapping has been spent releasing the Mirrored Maps series.

Takeback Mountain is from back in 2010 and was for a mapping contest by the OzFortress competitive community. Though it's not a great competitive map, it is a finished map. It's an AD style CP map, the same format as Gravelpit. It's not currently available on TF2Maps or in the Workshop, only on my personal website khuntza.net.

Funny story, I messed up the spawns and had RED attacking and BLU defending. Rather than redesigning and redetailing the map in its later stages, it became part of the lore of the map. The idea is that it's a BLU base that was taken by RED and now BLU is 'taking it back'.

A friend of mine made a video that tells the story.. this predates SFM by at least a couple of years.

This map was made in June of 2014. Version string has been replaced with trash because I don't have the original bsp and I don't want people who have somehow played this map before to get booted from the server.
