Suggestions?

A sign to warn testers of not getting a heart attack over a huge sightline.

wear looks blocky and unrealistic, sniper logo looks pixellated, text is horrible and hard to read

look at some existing signs for comparison

hard to see the 'sightline ahead' bit because white on white. make it black probably to make it easier to see.

Getting hand-painted lettering to look nice is hard to do, so I'd recommend using fonts unless you have a tablet or photography setup. A "proper" sign would also probably be funnier because of the implication that the sniper sightline is officially recognized by whoever owns the building.

I rushed the custard cream a bit. It's slightly thinner than it should be, and the texture is a bit naff because it's composed of two photos and a bit of hand-painting. But it doesn't matter because it's a practice biscuit.

I forgot to build it larger from the beginning, and so it ended up being 2.2 Hammer units long, and tiny! This was an ideal time to try the $scale property of the QC file (a bit like a pre-compile VMT). If I made it again, it would be a good starter project for sculpting, so I could use a high poly mesh to make ambient occlusion and a normal map. Or if the reference image was good enough, make a displacement map and use that, perhaps.

Seeing how the last one I made was received so well, I started working on another PD map. This time around, I'll consider scaling and space more than the other map.

Here's the first build of the capture area.

If you don't know whats going on that's fine. Neither do I.

As I didn't see enough action in a1's cliff and all the attention was around the capture point, I decided to add a 2nd capture point and work on the same concept I had for that area (pushing people off that either fall on that lower part and take fall damage and give you a chance of getting the items, or off the cliff). I'm planning on having them activating one at a time so it can hopefully switch between "arenas"
