You may not use any elements from old maps. Simple prefabs, such as stairs, prop sets, and entity setups are allowed. If you're unsure, ask.

I'm unsure, so I'm asking.

I know [UEAK]Crash set up some entities for plr_split ahead of time for the last contest. Does this mean that I can create some of the entity setup ahead of time? What if I release it before the contest?

As long as you publish them on TF2Maps.net before the contest starts, then yes, you can use whatever entity setup you'd like. We'd prefer if you shared your entity setups on the site, but it's not a requirement. Anything beyond gameplay entity setups must be released.

Yes, and yes! Donating does not disqualify you from participating, or even winning.

Well this starts just when my school starts, three weeks in :v

I guess this will end up being a two day challenge then. May have to think a bit more this time about what I want to do so that I can not spend 4/5 hours thinking about ideas at the start.

Sorry KubeKing but my school starts on the weekend of the third week of school, so all the dates end up being muddled around a bit for me. Happy to stay around in a mumble or something chatting, and I may do a mapping project for a while over that weekend if you want.

But attitude does not equal random and unpredictable issue that I would have no way of knowing could happen.

Frankly I don't think Frozen was trying to make you stop thinking about it. Just pointing out that being negative is a sure fire way to help negative things occur. If you say stuff like that, no one is going to empathise with you.
