double as in 2048 x 4096 or 4069^2? would applied to other gamemodes too?

Your entry, whatever the intended point, must fit within this:

But it does not need to be that big. It must only fit within it. There is no height limit, and no advantages on any types of control points. An MvM hatch can use the 4096x4096 space, while a control point can as well. It's all up to you!

would it be possible to change the $50 to pounds or euros just in the chance that someone from those other countries wins?

No, I can only buy USD and AUD steam cards in my country.

Steam will automatically convert it to your currency anyway.

So I can't have the skybox brushes being out of the 4096s, leaving exactly this much area inside?
The 3d skybox doesn't have to fit in the square as well does it?

going by the rules of the last one, the 3d sky can be made in the 4096^2 space below the entry

protip, make a cordon first to make sure you always have a visible representation of the boundaries and are forced to stay within them

Is it okay to have props slightly sticking out of the 4096 squared area?
Yes, however as the containing bounds of your map must contain exactly 2048x2048 (or less) area, any prop origins which are outside these bounds will leak! And that won't be good! So keep your origins inside this space for your sake.
This part still says 2048x2048, it should probably be changed before it creates confusion.
Or did I missunderstood something?

I would Disagree as this is a actual contest, however i still will try i'm not going to win
Well that's a sure thing, if you are participating to a contest, you want to win, but just because you """"know"""" that you can't win, shouldn't refrain you from doing something, everyone needs experience, and the only way is to practice, and participating to that contest is a good way to practice.

Every contest by TF2Maps are made with participation in mind, sure it's more challenging, but it's also a good way to try and learn something new and test yourself.

Been looking forward to something like this! I'd be happy to just participate, frankly.

Haven't mapped in, like, half a year because I'm shit at it

I think I'll give this contest a try though, it looks like a lot of fun :)

How long is 'stupidly long' when it comes to forum names?
