I think this indicates that you have different views of how a point works. Frozen seems the point as a thin metal slab that can be carried around and dropped wherever you feel like it. I, and presumably Hoen, sees the point as the top side of some buried chunk of machinery. Clearly we must decide this issue with a gentlemanly round of fisticuffs.

Considering the point can be on a bridge with nothing beneath it, I think it's more like a big flat clock face or something, idk. Some kind of scale that you stand on. It can't be buried.

It's also on those planks in Sawmill.

And in Lumberyard and Gorge, there is clearly a huge pit beneath it (probably other maps also).

I might venture that in-universe, they don't even see it. The capture point is only seen by us, the outside observer.

It's not in the ConPack, that's for sure. It looks pretty cool though. Just one thing that bothers me about those walls, fubar: they randomly turn into the tile/concrete walls, which makes no sense to me. I'm not sure what you were going for, but it looks weird.
yeah it's a custom texture of mine. I was going for an unfinished drywall but it didn't end well. I'm not satisfied with the joints/nojoints transition. atm the transition is done with a blend texture but I might switch to something overlay based to get the transition right. I could go for drywall sheets only, no joints, but that would make the wall quite boring so I don't know. still a wip

After reading some thoughts about control points, I think in some cases it simply indicates who owns the area (mid in Well and Badlands). But it also can indicate who controls the "hidden machinery" (last point in Well and Badlands). It looks like usually the mid on 5 cp maps controls overall area and last points this hidden machinery.
