After 2 days of work, I have a near-completed logic system for an entirely new gamemode. For the blue half of the map only.
Oh yeah. And that too. I have 12.6% of the entdata full. Without even completing half the logic.
Is that really bad?
Crash, it's called "report_entities" not "entity_report".Trainsawlaser was at something like 120% and working fine at one point. The edict count is what you have to watch out for. Load it up in game and type "entity_report" in the console. Keeping that final number below 1700 is important. Any higher and you can crash servers easily. I'd recommend 1400-1500 to be safe.
I see this got asked but not answered - Is there going to be any play-testing for these maps? If so when are they likely to be? I have to ask as I teach self-defence classes Friday evenings so I would likely miss any testing done Friday 1st April.@Crash Will there be multiple playing days? Or will we only play each map for one 30 minute period on April 1st. 1 or 2 of my friends really want to see/ play on my map with a full server, so it would be nice if they can at least make one of the play sessions.
