Rottengurg on the roof - CP rottenburg with upgrades.

The well known Valve map rottneburg after the robot war is invaded by the BLU team. Both teams have upgrade stations. For every capture point captured your team is given 100 cash (the cash is still stored after the round is done.
But warning! This is my first map and it is in beta so expected bugs can be:
-Glitched HUD
-Being able to go out of the map
-Shooting players in spawn
-Dissapearing textures and models

You are able to go on the roofs of the buildings.
Special thanks to : YM, Ms. Mudpie, Tumbolisu (mustache guy) who gave me advice and help.

While this is a creative approach, I personally don't think the map and upgrades will work very well for PVP without loads of changes. Firstly, mvm upgrades were meant to be used against waves of easy-to-kill robots, not actual skilled players (of which there are only 12). As a new-ish mapper I don't know if upgrade stats can be tweaked, but that might be a thing to consider.
Also, the layout of the map is built to favor red team; there are huge sightlines that will need to be blocked, and that choke at the entrance to the town will need more flanks if blu ever hopes to push through. Generally the map will need a pretty big revamp to make it fair for PvP.
Another thing i noticed was blu takes fall damage coming out of their spawn and there's no way to get back in. Maybe put a ramp or stairs or something.

Its my first map so i knew there woud be big issues but il try to fix them as soon as I can but i want the feeling of rottenburg to be still in there. And the upgrades... I made that only by playing BLU you are able to get money. Idk il try to make in better.

If you're new to mapping then you'd be better off making an entirely new map from scratch. There's only so much you can learn by messing around with someone else's finished product.
It better stayed a private map ha?

I just ran through this, and I have a handful of things to say:

While your screenshot suggests a properly lit map and a control point on the hatch, the map I downloaded was in fullbright and the only control point I could find was near the forward upgrade station. The round ended when I captured it.

It does not seem like you cleaned up the bot spawn area at all. You just threw down a resupply cabinet, but you still left holes in the map. Valve likely did not bother patching these because human players were never intended to be back there.

I know you mentioned being able to shoot players in spawn, but that's a pretty big issue that can interfere with playtests by allowing easy spawncamping. Valve gets away with using clip brushes (which block players, but not gunfire!) because bots in MvM are given an invulnerability condition until they drop down from the cliff. Human players do not get this advantage, so you should build a proper, solid spawn building instead of using clip brushes around an invisible door. Also, since you can't see this door in normal gameplay, it's very easy to miss when trying to jump down.

Lastly, it's possible to get money and "purchase" upgrades, but once you walk away from the counter they are removed and your money is refunded. I believe this problem is inherent to the MvM logic, so I doubt it's possible to use upgrades in other gamemodes like this.

Killo the map looks like this for me:

AkkNeTp.png

Not fullbright but still not great.

2NhfLeA.png

This seems pretty unbalanced if i'm honest

kzBh8tg.png

Why did letting players get up here seem like a good idea?

You have some fucked up vis that you probably want to fix before releasing

VuxxCnp.png

Again with the letting players get somewhere they normally can't but making no changes to accommodate it.

Heads-up: In this section of TF2 universe time, there is no BLU team as it was absorbed in to RED when the Mann Brothers were killed by Gray Mann. So after the robot war, BLU team wouldn't be attacking Rottenburg, as they do not exist.

Lore wise, you could say that blu was attacking an original red base that was then converted into a fake mann co base by both teams after the war.

I think you're attempting an impossible task and would recommend you make a new map from scratch.

if you release a new version of a map you need to rename the file before you compile it, otherwise there are conflict issues

the usual format is _a1, _a2, _a3 etc for alphas, _b1, _b2, _b3 etc for betas, and _rc1, _rc2, _rc3 etc for finished maps

What kind of ladder did you add? Tf2 doesn't support ladders to my knowledge.
