Honestly as far as TF2 goes, Facepunch was "closed" a while back. Almost all the really good talent -- Void, NeoDement, Square, and all the dozens of other item, art, and map creators, etc, etc -- stopped regularly posting there, and the TF2 discussion thread turned into the same 10 people arguing the same old tired things with each other over and over.

Pretty sad, in its heyday Facepunch was incredible for TF2 content.

Images actually still exist on the facepunch site, the preview is broken however. To get the image urls and be able to view them, click the top right button of a post and click View Code block or something like that, then grab the URLs and open in a new tab

You might want to download any useful images you come across, who knows how long those will exist on the facepunch site
