You have no idea what's inside those doors. For all you know the crane might be an extendible one that stays inside

Well, if a player has to stand around and wonder that it's generally a better idea to just make the crane. Or a sign that says something like Loading zone or something like that.

Those barn doors don't really make much sense considering there isn't a pulley nearby or any other means of getting things up there.

Telling people everything ruins thought and mystery.
It's like having every street painted with "Cars drive through here" to let people know an empty road still may one day have cars on it.

That's not at all comparable. There's no reasoning behind the double doors; not even a fire escape or sign. They're just there.

Sometimes things are just there though.
Yeah but in real life stuff like there has a real life reason, and in a video game it should have a video game reason.
It would honestly be better as a blank wall face because the doors serve no purpose other than to distract the eye.
