@Freyja Looks insane, I love the way you cleverly integrated that industrial brick wall into the temple façade! Also loving that roof decor

Maybe the palmtrees could have an alternate skin where their leaves are blended a tiny bit turquoise for areas towards the BLU side?

Yeah, it'd be better to have fewer, focused around points of interest like the Resupply locker. Also they don't need spotlight glows; even though this is common for those lights, when there's so many of them clustered together it starts to look shabby.

Just uploaded the first playable version, B4! Coming to an imp near you shortly...

Deep into the mountains, a secret RED "office" is intercepted by BLU.
As the mercenaries infiltrate, they discover the secret RED holds. Vast loads of weapons shipments, spytech equipment deep down into the Earth, medical experiences gone wrong (and that eez how I lost my medical license), climate control techniques, and the most important of all, missiles capable of mass destruction.

In fact, the countdown for the doomsday rocket has started ticking down. If BLU fails to capture all the control points, the missile will launch and the end of the world will be upon us (yes, even you Merasmus). Each captured control point adds extra time to the doomsday timer, and capping the third point will stop the launch! Will BLU be able to do it? Or will RED's mercenaries defeat them first?

Oh boy my eyes. You need to turn that HDR down. You need a tonemap_controller and a logic_auto. Then you just send the input "SetBloomScale 0.3" and it should be much better. You can then also play around with "SetAutoExposureMax 1.0" and "SetAutoExposureMin 0.6".

I think I’ll see what others think first. I admit the waterfall definitely hurts the eyes and right now I’m trying to fix that, but the rest of the map looks fine as it is. EDIT: Have lots of others complaining about the same thing, I will implement what you said by the end of today (with an update and updated screenshots coming out too).

Of course, that is my opinion. If I get widespread hate for the lighting, I will do what you suggested, so thanks for that.

A temporary solution to those who don’t like it but still want better lighting would be to turn mat_hdr_level to 1 to reduce the bloom.

You won't get hate, just recommendations. The HDR on official Valve maps isn't nearly that high so toning it down is wiser than expecting people to turn their HDR options down/off.
