I'm kind of coming back to this map again to hopefully finish it. I don't really play TF2 anymore, but I like to mess around in the editor as it's kind of therapeutic for me. This map needs some serious TLC though as I can only run vvis in fast for the moment, so I need to get creative with optimizing it.
It's good to see you trying to finish this. I've always thought you're one of the best detailers on this site. I know what you mean about Hammer as therapy... weird as it sounds, it's comforting. I think I'm doing the same thing.

Thank you, and yeah, all I need is some awesome music and I can go for hours messing around in the editor. I don't find much joy in making a layout or anything but damn if I don't like making things look pretty.

I'd like to extend it into something, but I worry it is probably to detailed and cramped for gameplay.

Not that valve is back to adding maps to tf2, its about time I finish some of mine.

First up is a small ctf map I started at the last 72 hour contest. Expect to see me pokeing for imps once I seal all the leaky bits.

I've fully enclosed the middle point into its own building now. Also, I've changed the trains so they're func_doors, and there is four of them. They move in and out of the building, blocking off some routes while opening others.
