To simply put, this map draws inspiration from Nintendo's Splatoon and brings it into tf2! Complete with a moving capture point, death pits below its path, and dancing heavies!
For the Jam I decided to take particle requests and make them on stream! Fr0z3nR asked for an icy medicbeam effect, so I went and made that with Logan McCloud making some custom snowflake sprites cause the snowflake in TF2 just wouldn't cut it. Go check him out especially cause this effect wouldn't look nearly as good without his snowflakes.
You can grab it right here as a mod for now! Later this week I'll have a proper showcase and a real Gamebanana release with a few extra features like a white beam as an alternate for red and actual dispenser beams.
I also tried to start a cartoonish Righteous Bison effect but I don't think it's ready to show just yet.
PLR_scaffold is the only TF2 map that is on a skyscraper, made in 72 hours, and has not only one, but TWO entire stages of cart on cart action! Two carts! Two towers! Two stages! Seventy Two hours!
On account of me not knowing how to use SFM, these screenshots were taken on some random idle server with a mod that allows for inspection of normal weapons. If anyone knows how to get better screenshtos fill free to message me.
I'm going to have to take this into Illustrator and rejig it before submitting it to the Workshop (I thought maybe t-shirt??), but the basic design is done, so I'm happy with it.
