I live in the UK where despite it being bloody freezing all the time, we never get any snow, so I have to compensate.

To each their own, not to mention since the US is resilient to change its unlikely they will go to metric. I say we all compromise and just straight up use Kelvin as the temperature scale of choice.

I really like snow maps but I prefer rainy maps above all.

IMHO it looks ugly as hell and slays my toaster. Screw Barnblitz or Viaduct gimme a Sunshine, Process or Foundry any day. The winter theme is so underdeveloped that it hurts to look at it, they litterally took the Woodlands theme, slapped shitty white displacements everywhere and called it a day, atleast maps like Boundry and Arctic TRY and make it more believable.

I agree with Lain up to a point. Maps like Viaduct and Barnblitz would work the same if there wasn't snow. But I think snow looks better with industrial/spytech rather than alpine; look at Coldfront or HAARP for example.

I don't think it matters how much a map would be affected by a theme change. It's better than every map having the exact same midday desert/canyon theme.
