This contest was amazing, some of the entries on here look stunning. Congrats to everyone that made it to the top 16.
My map, Commune, had an extremely troubled development due to us not being able to playtest the map actively (I didn't have a computer available to map), and I even fucked up the submission, but I'm glad you guys took time to quickly look over the map with my mistake. Hopefully the next contest I enter I don't have as much of a problem.
This contest really shows the best of the MvM community, and I'm glad this collab between the MvM group and TF2Maps happened. Hope you guys had fun and thankyou!

I could use an excess account-with a medali could use an excess medal
I wonder what will happen to all these excess medals. Will they just be deleted? Will they become tradable, turning into the new high-value item? Will they be turned into something else, like the crafted gatebot hats that were turned into capacitors?
I don't think they would be tradable, because that would ruin what owning the medal is about: actually having competed in the competition
I got 2, but I can't even equip them independently like multiple 72hr medals. So one of them is completely useless.

Thank you for the heads up; I'm the one that took those painted variant images for the wiki. I didn't read the schema fully the day the medal was added, and so I assumed because the medal is set up to be paintable (and that same schema update turned the ETF2L medals paintable) that the Mappers vs. Machines Medal would've been paintable as well. I've updated the wiki to more accurately display that the medal isn't paintable at the moment; though it would be nice to have it paintable in the future.
