Detailed parts looking great already, gameplay is great. Hopefully people will realize this when voting.

Void you probably should have done some optimization at least before submitting it to the contest....

For me: Dustbowl average fps - 110
Scoville inside blue spawn for stage 1 - 40

Also Z-fighting here and there.

This is just me standing in my spawn. It's also really bad during the endgame particle effects.

Also, for some reason, RED gets to start on starting point "1" on the last stage, even though they haven't won any!

P.S. If Void gets to update his submission then I get to, too!

Dude, this map is pretty good. It would be fun, but the lack optimization in this build is ridiculous. I'm running it below 30 fps everywhere, alone, on my alienware.

What happened? The previous builds ran fine. Since when did so much get drawn on-screen at once? I mean, this kills the map...:(

I think he's still using giant hollow skyboxes. There's certainly a lack of areaportals judging from the screenshot Icarus posted. D:

Well, I was getting bad FPS on the alphas, but no-one else was, so everybody just blamed Randdalftop (which is actually the name of my laptop, apparently I had to give it one).

I think he's still using giant hollow skyboxes. There's certainly a lack of areaportals judging from the screenshot Icarus posted.

He said it wasn't, and so I guess he isn't :p

I have experienced sometimes while mapping, that adding a 3-D skybox completely wrecks fps. I have no idea why it did this, but I did notice that it broke all of my areaportals.

My solution was to completely redo the 3-D skybox, and things went back to normal. Most bizzare issue of hammer #213.

I had a small runthrough yesterday, and it´s impressive

biggest drawback is the utter lack of optimization, when i fired up "mat_wireframe 1" i was shocked :/

do yourself the favor and build in at least some basic areaportals between the main sections and compile vvis properly.

Ah, you haven't been in the group chat enough.

I've been trying really friggin' hard to get the areaportals working.

Luck has been poor.

But, with a few more optimization attempts here and there, things should be... enh, different. Plus, Foda is working on optimizing the particles.

Considering what time you do have left, take the time to learn to make areaportals, so that you don't feel as though your time was all for nothing if your contest entry doesn't reflect a well optimized result. Your past and future self will thank you for it.
