Ladies, Gentlemen, and everyone inbetween and out, I would like to introduce you to what is hopefully the first of an annually-made event: Katsu's Map of the Year! This award show is meant to honour the maps that I felt really shone through this year, regardless of completion. This year has a grand total of 230 nominations overall across each of the categories. Each category will have either five or three winners (just depends on how major the category is really), and we have a total of eleven categories to get through here tonight. Only maps significantly updated or fully started in 2024 were given nominations, so let's get to it already!!!!!

HOO. Now that's a lot of maps. But, what are nominations if there are no winners associated with them? Well, how's about we get into 'em eh? One thing I wanna say though, before anything: Genuinely, congratulations for making a map in the first place. Mapping ain't easy to get into or learn, or even persevere into finishing a project for that matter. What you've done here, for Team Fortress 2, is genuinely amazing, and you should never forget that. Be proud of your maps, even if you yourself don't think it's good; A released map shows a sign of dedication, and I think that's really important. Even if you don't win, keep trying, keep pushing yourself, keep making what you love. I promise, it's worth the satisfaction.
