I did a koth map last year like that, it does look quite neat.

Another fun trick is 'mat_fullbright 2', gets rid of all colormaps and kind of makes the same effect for existing maps, just in greyscale.

Sorry it took me a while to actually do this (1 1/2 hours of TF2 update issues, caused by yours truly), but here are some actual screenshots of the map, without HDR lighting:

And I just noticed the brick texture-related mistake. You can never pick everything up in one go, not to mention the four or five I had before this!

Oops, I uploaded the old image instead of the new one. Here's the one I meant to post:

The map is called pl_barbara. The cart starts on her black sweater's right shoulder, and is dropped into her left ear. There is a dynamic element in between her bangs, and her mouth is a death pit. Get on it, Mudpie!

Barbara Walters, if you are reading this, please take it lightly. These people are crazy, and I need to get on their level to establish proper communication. In short, I am the Jane Goodall of the TF2 mapping world.
