You want to be careful with fog and long distances, snipers can hide in it.

I was a bastard and stole the fog and lighting from coldfront.

Well, to be blunt, there is actually a sniping point in Coldfront that is obscured by the fog on the map. It's not very well known, but whenever I see that map being played competitively a sniper is using it.
Just make sure not to have big sightlines with that fog and you'll be fine.

3) Those two wall lights, top right, look like wank. Get some more interesting lighting there, from the ceiling and put a giant RED logo on the wall or a world map instead.

I believe he was referencing Vilepickles Quake-esque mapping style in TF2. Specifically your metal trim.

Languid, there seems to be something very wrong with that blendtexture. Is it custom? Lifted from the wrong material by mistake? Also it's hard to tell, but it looks like the displacement is starting to slope up before it actually fully turns into gravel. Don't do that. (Foundry does it on practically every coal pile, and it drives me bananas.)
