From what I have heard this map has a severe lack of Jimijam. This needs to change immediately.

I cant figure out whats causing the crashes. If anyone has any idea whats happening, Im all ears.

There is a bug with some fps configs that causes crashing when the player looks at certain props. I'd release a test version with all the lightmapped props removed to see if that fixes it.

This sounds like it might be the case since this is the first time I actually used lightmaps on props.

I believe the issue is mat_phong 0. I had some of my comp guys crashing on Glassworks when I introduced a few prop light maps into it.

I guess I'll have to do a new compile with no proplightmaps then. Shiz, I really hate how vertex lighting looks on barrels and corrugated metals.

Also, setting mat_phong to 0 is not causing me to crash.

Anyone had problems running ramjam after the prop lightmaps fix? Also, would it be worth it to redo ramjam completely and scale it down a bit in the process? Because I was thinking of doing something crazy like that.

Personally, I would say that if you're considering doing that, take it right back into alpha (or at least early beta) and see if anything major comes up

Yeah thats what I was thinking. The geometry is also a mess because of how much this has changed over the years. But I am not sure if it is a waste of time.

Perhaps you could look at all the combined play testing and feedback, and see if that helps you work out the value of changing geometry. It may be that you only need to change a few things.

It might give you the opportunity to manage rendering performance a bit better.
