I think Bak is working on a radiator that's both rounder and thinner, so I think I'll keep mine as is. I'll revisit it later if I feel the need.

radiator002 model download (slightly smaller and less shiny than the screenshot but basically the same model)

Lamp post, has on and off skins. On lamp is selfillum of course. Again there's 3 different models, one with no snow, one with snow, and one with wind blown snow.

Lantern with 3 different colors each with on and off. Again the on skins are selfillum. Two models, one with the handle down, one with the handle up for hanging somewhere.

Might get to the oil drum tonight, if so I'll post those too.

EDIT:
Bonus model that totally wasn't an accident!

Hi all, I've been out of mapping for years but Pocket contacted me on steam and asked that I share the files from my artic artpass competition map with you for the art pack you are assembling. http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=14552&page=4 (see my old map here). I had to look through my old PC for the files, but I found them and after I finish sorting them I'll upload everything for any mapper to use / modify as they see fit. Once I get them posted, if you would like specific .psd or .obj files feel free to ask.

Wow, that's great! Thanks for agreeing to release the assets! I've always liked that entry a lot, glad to know we'll soon be able to put your hard work to, well, work.

Barrel full of barrels. Wanted them to be super dirty and grungry and worn out, as they're supposed to be rusty hobo fire cans. Kinda think I overdid it a little. Feedback?

Can always make more skins. Also not sure about the cream midsections. Have it on red but can always take it off or add it to others.

I personally think the barrels textures are great. The scrathes maybe a little to overdone, but its nothing worth going back and fixing in my opinion

I don't mind them, but I'd appreciate some skins identical to the existing oil drums for mix/match purposes. The overlays are awesome though

I never quite understood why your map didn't become official instead of Mountain Lab. Don't get me wrong, I like how Mountain Lab looks, but this takes the cake.

Thanks for releasing the assets!

There's no reason they wouldn't work in 2015 (thankfully, or we'd have a ton of useless custom content). Feel free to upload them. The only difference is now they go into /common/Team Fortress 2/tf instead of your user folder.

I added a bunch of the custom textures from my maps to the downloads section. You are welcome to include any you find suitable to the arctic pack. I'll start uploading my various custom models in the next few days.

here are a few examples

ice_zpsu6p0dfxl.jpg

ice_tunnel_zpsqaijpnkr.jpg

icewall_zpswf6lzdbw.jpg

I also included a range of blend textures as well as some not explicitly arctic textures that were used in my arctic map.

Thanks to all for your kinda words about my map. I made that map just after I finished art school and I only had part-time work (it was the middle of the recession and I had an art degree :glare: ). I crunched on that map as hard as I had on any project in school and I burned out pretty badly. I was kinda disappointed it didn't get made official but there were lots of other really amazing maps. I suspect part of my map's problem was that it was probably too detailed / un-optimized in some areas but who knows, that's long past. Anyways I really appreciated that some of you liked it and still remembered it after all this time, that was a nice surprise.

the rest of my assets are coming soon, make awesome stuff with them :D

I uploaded the skybox from my artpass as a test. I've been out of modding so long I don't know if my older assets will still work.

If anyone has any info on that or can test this in the modern tools I'd appreciate it before I go through the effort of uploading everything.

Do you still know your light_environment settings you used with this skybox? If so, mind updating the download with a text file with those settings?

I mean, I know I can place an env_sun in the map and just copy its values to the light_environment since there is no visible point of light in the skybox's texture, but I'd like to know what you used on the Artpass map.

The whole upload system was down a few days ago; if something wasn't working, that'd be why.

After looking over the map, I would guess cause some of the textures didn't feel like they fit TF2. Though that's just my opinion.
