2 days ago was the first time I ever worked with normal maps and real diffuse editing in general. It was a really fun experience and I already feel better at it :) I did the "1" on the normal map by hand since I didn't have a program to do it better- same goes for the specular map. It came out much better than I expected, the spec map really made it pop.

It's important to note that I didn't model this or create the original texture- it's a reskin for the Rust workshop.

(thanks to @Fr0Z3nR on twitter for support, and if you want to vote for it on the workshop you can vote for it here!)

@HolySnickerPuffs are u still doing these because i would like one pls

Sure!

Your's is a bit of a challenge though. I've never done a real person, so It may not be that good. I especially had problems with the eyes and mouth, so I omitted them. Sorry!

To make for this, I added a superfluous amount of detail.

I hope this'll work for you. If not, I'll be glad to try again.

"Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
'Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I'm trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low"

I hope this does not get me in trouble.

I don't know, what do you think, but on my PC art looking like that don't lands on TF2maps.net, but 70% of them it's deleted or not saved, rest are thrown away into deepness of my hard disc
And you really don't want to know, what I have in my dark side of hard disc

I might as well share some TF2 stuff I did for class.

Here's a remake of the old payload gamemode selection screen done entirely with straight lines:

Here's a bunch of weapons done with only straight lines as well:

Also, here's a project where I had to tell a story using only silhouettes:

All of these were made in Adobe Illustrator, so they can be rendered out at any resolution. If there's enough interest, I might clean them up and make some of them into wallpapers.

Edit: Here's an abstracted painting of my face as well:

This took about 8 to 9 hours, and I am very happy about how it came out. I drew @phi 's deer character entirely with a mouse in Paint.net. Its 2398 x 2832 pixels. I tried following @umbratile 's style, using some feedback I got from @Yrr about drawing skeletons and the under parts before doing a final pass of the outlines. I feel like I finally understand the anatomy of deer/human hybrids, and I hope you like it, as I put a lot of time and effort into it.
