Hey everyone, just wanted to drop you all a quick line letting you know about a big staff change for us.

First, the forum-blackhole'ing, contest-hosting, medal-distributing, always helpful nerd of nerds himself @Fr0Z3nR has stepped down from his staff position here at TF2Maps to further pursue his game development passions with his company Eerie Bear Games! Check out his team's first Steam release Light Repair Team #4!
(but now who are we going to blame for stuff?!)

And last, our ever helpful king-of-IT and all things server-side admin @Geit has also stepped down to focus his time and energy towards his career. Our site and servers would be a very different place without everything he's done for us, everything from the new site itself to the extremely useful feedback plugin, so HUGE round of applause for him! We're going to do our best to not bug him, but he'll still be around a bit to help us put out the occasional fire.
(oh god please don't go we're so helpless <3)

We'd like to thank both of them for their years of time sharing their talents with us and helping keep this place from burning to the ground! We hope to still see them around from time to time in a less official capacity!

I've really enjoyed the past 7 or so years I've spent with TF2Maps.net, watched it change, and grow. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. But, as crash said, I felt that I need to focus on my company and VR game dev, and that it was time to Let it go.

I'd like to extend my own thank you to both these people.

Geit, I dont know how much stepping down will change your involvement, but regardless, thank you for allowing me to host the bot on your own server, pretty much affirming the path I wanted to take for my future. It may have just been empty server usage to you but it's really set my future's course, so for letting me learn a ton from you (as well by answering my pointless questions), thank you.

Frozen, being my go to staff member since day one, with almost any question weather functional or moral being open to answer. So thanks for being incredibly approachable, you've set a strong standard for how staff should aim to carry themselves. $face
