Drawing a skybox from scratch is very fun and really makes you have control of your environment settings. But once you're done and find that the sky actually looks like a large cube/box with your 6 images slapped on the inside (visible seams and crooked clouds) you quickly lose any entusiasm you had.
I've done this, twice.
And I have now finally taken the time to do 'something' about it, It's not a perfect solution, but atleast it gives some kind of guidance to how the images are disorted to form the illusion of a dome, instead of a cube.
Look at that, it's great. Trust me.
I don't have much more to say so without further delay:

I hope this helps someone. I did not spend a whole lot of time on this since the images were generated using another program, but I think making it available in this form (template) is a lot easier.
I could not find a automatic photoshop filter/transform that would replicate this 'shape', if anyone does manage to find such a tool. Be sure to share it!
