This has been the only promo update to make me go "what" out loud in a long time.

So does that mean Minecraft is coming to Steam?

Also, the AC:R promo apparently includes a knife replacement that looks the the hidden blade. Pretty snazzy really.

tbf they are testing out a improved model optimization system in the beta atm so it's not like they aren't trying to fix the problems that some people are having with TF2 HellJumper

from the beta update notes it seems its loading optimization, not model optimization and with the amount of stuff currently in tf2, dynamic model loading is pretty much a necessity

Wish there was another way to get some of these promo items, seeing as I own AC:R on my Ps3 :(
Anyway back to thoughts about this update, what's with the stream of promo items, I realise it's good for money and advertising but I'd appreciate it if we got some new things in Team fortress that aren't hats, or weapons with no beneficial effects.

The Assassin's Creed ones looks quite cool. Shame about the knife animations though. Hope they get fixed.

It's all a secret plan to lure Notch into bringing Minecraft to Steam.

THROUGH THE POWER OF HATS.

As if. Steam would cut into his profits. He needs that money for making games that aren't fun and embezzling.

So does Bobby Kotick but his games are still on Steam.
