It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Australian Christmas

What is the true meaning of Australian Christmas? Some say it is a hamfisted attempt by the Australian government to turn a notorious felon into a beloved folk hero. Others say it's a calculated ploy by the novelty munitions industry to sell guns that shoot mistletoe.

And then there are those who look past all that, and maintain that it is a time to reconnect with friends and loved ones, and to be thankful for the blessings in our lives.

And then there are those who are still licking their emotional wounds from all the reconnecting with friends and loved ones they did at Thanksgiving, and realize that the true true meaning of Australian Christmas is zero human contact, eating candy, and getting as many presents as possible.

And those people are correct—that is the true meaning of Australian Christmas. We looked it up.

But don't take our word for it. Ask the Engineer.

Hey its that thingy from the emporium.

I really hope there are some good engie weapons in this update. I've been rolling the same engie loadout for too long.

In the work of the early 20th century commercial illustrators
J. C. Leyendecker, Dean Cornwell and Norman Rockwell as well
as our own internal concept art, we observed the following consistencies
which we used to define the look of Team Fortress 2:
² Shading obeys a warm-to-cool hue shift. Shadows go to cool,
not black.
² Saturation increases at the terminator with respect to a given
light source. The terminator is often reddened.
² High frequency detail is omitted where possible
² On characters, interior details such as clothing folds are chosen
to echo silhouette shapes
² Silhouettes are emphasized with rim highlights rather than
dark outlines

Annoying particle effects, undeniably unnecessary geometric details, and shitty gameplay detractions, boy oh boy I can't wait.

Fuck this update. Why are they hating on the Medics? A shotgun that takes away 10% Ubercharge with every hit? WHY!?!?! As if few enough people didn't play Medic, now I'm going to have to worry about losing Uber because some Engineer has a space gun. And that Pyro axe. That one's just dumb. Punishing a Medic for doing his job. I think Robin is wearing his hat a bit tight, restricting the blood flow to his brain.

New map though, which is nice.
