I like the quality of Matt 1 above all the rest.
BUT I like the thought of having a unique weapon even more. So that makes me lean towards Ritz. I play engie often enough that the class specific issue doesn't bother me, but I understand the problem... I would be disappointed if it was a Spy only weapon, since I almost never play spy.
I don't know how the weapon landscape will change with the store, but it seems to me that whatever form (if any) the contest participants are recognized with, quality should trump loadout slot. I would rather have a well executed medal than a poorly made weapon. (This is not intended as an attack/judgment on Ritz's weapon BTW) Were there any of the polycount entries that would work?

What's awkward? I haven't been following but I do find it pretty funny that they STILL haven't given these to people involved in the contest after nearly a year
they added medals to the game for other stuff. no mapper's medallion.
Heh. The last time I emailed valve about a very important fix to my hat (it was during that "new paint system" update which caused a terrible painting issue with dx8 users), they emailed me back saying they were busy (wtf?).

Sometime in May, I noticed that in spite of making a big push to make the game more accessible with new training courses, coaching and bots, the loading screen tips haven't been updated since before the Engineer Update. The most recent item mentioned in the tips is the Shiv.
Since the last batch of tips were community-submitted, I wrote some up regarding newer weapons, and sent them in too. Robin at first said he'd take a look at them, then emailed me again and told me that to cover legal issues, I had to put them in a zip file and send them through the Contribute site. I did, never got a response. I submitted a new batch after the Uber Update, same story.
I've sent Robin tons and tons of emails and never gotten a response, but that's the only instance I've ever been very disappointed about it, because I DID get a response, but after responding to THAT it fell into the gaping abyss.

I emailed him about this too, when the Comp. Medals were announced within spuf. No reply.
Also, now that the Saxxy has been released, Ritz's hammer could potentially be used. Should it be reconsidered?
