I'm pretty sure the same thing happened with the Gun Mettle maps, I remember a lot of people had problems with Suijin but I only occasionally had invisible trees in Borneo (which was very annoying because it made you think you had bumped into a spy).

Of course I don't know if that's the same issue or not since Valve fixed the issue with the Gun Mettle maps.

So it looks as if the method of fetching and packing the content into the bsp's itself has a few bugs to be ironed out.

There seems to be something wrong with the optimization in the release version. I'm getting >50 frames out of battle with an fps config at spawn and mid, whereas rc2 ran perfectly fine.

Also how you did that?

I'm guessing different clipping brushes, unless they all look that color when rendered in which case I'm wrong.

If you do update this map Crash you need to make it so the aliens appear on the same locations on both sides of the map, Uncle Dane's video about this map shows a sentry spot where aliens appear on one side of the map but not the other causing a pretty big imbalance.

Bumpy-de-bumpy:

I noticed a big ERROR sign on one of the aliens that spawn in. Specifically, the one on the big silo on mid.

It's only on this alien. I don't know what's missing on it. I've validated my game cache files to check if something was missing form it, but nothing was missing and it didn't fix it either.

Hah, I put a hat on that one. They must have changed the file name for it.
Was it a community-made one? It's possible the hat got updated in one of the many waves of retexturing/remodeling cosmetics and the map is still referencing an older model.

LOTS of trade maps suffer the same fate. So many error models behind glass showcases. :jimijam:

Also for some reason this map is under "Alternative Gamemodes?"

If you do update, could you make the finale effect less loud?

I think it has to do with the event where the alien comes and grabs you... and also the aliens that teleport in...

on that note, it would be great if you could make a "pro" (in parenthesis, as I don't know much about "pro" maps...) version where all the events are removed, and its just a basic koth map?
