There was no medal in the last jamAfter annoucing it over reddit and such, you should expecing some low effort entries, because free items.
On the other hand, I am sure in the last jam it wasn't that different.

No, the file would be the same, and in the version string text box, simply type versoin_reuploadSo, basicaly, i have to reupload the same map, and upgrade it? (a1 >a2)
Better than nothing!my entry is kinda rushed due to family visiting for the weekend so ill look out for the next 72hr jam and try to do even better
Posting the more superior version
Why does anyone give a shit about the medal?
I honestly found out about the medal after seeing this post.It really shouldn't mean much. Some people just got in for the medal.Like wtf? It's not like it will be worth 20 keys anyway. Now,the medal will mean much to me because it will be the only evidence that i did partake in the jam,but that's it.It is sad to enter the jam and do something shitty on purpose just to get the medal.
Point being,if you entered for the medal, but did your best work to EARN it,great.
If you entered not for the medal, but for the jam itself, great.
If you entered for the medal, but you for some reason can't make your best work,(ex. you are on your grandma's laptop),but you still tried your best, great.
You entered for the medal but didn't put in any effort and did something shitty in 10 minutes just to get it?

I know I'm not a staff member, but I'd like to say something:
Stop asking when you get your medal and forum badge. Just stop. The staff currently has to deal with a recent massive server breakdown, so they're kinda busy keeping that alive and breathing. Medals come when medals come, so please stop asking a question that's already been asked and answered a bazillion times.
You sir will be made into a TF2 Maps trading card.I know we were asked not to continue the discussion about who deserves the medal, but I'd like to be a bit cheeky and sneak in a post with a positive tone.
When I saw that all jam entries will get an item reward regardless of the effort put in, I knew there would be a bunch of low effort submissions, and I felt mildly annoyed; why would someone get a medal if they just gamed the rules?
But then I started thinking about it, and I think it's worth it; think about all the people who discovered tf2maps through this event, who got into mapping because of this. Maybe some people just came for the medal, but discovered this community. Maybe little Billy or Sally made a printscreen of their favorite loadouts but then saw all the other awesome stuff other people made and it inspires them to learn mapping and will make some awesome TF2 map years later.
Exclusion leaves a bad taste in the mouth. And who could really decide how much effort someone put into his entry? Some are slow learners, or maybe mapping didn't click for them yet, whatever. I'm not saying of course, that entries shouldn't be criticised, that's really important, I just think that being stingy with participation prizes does more harm than good.
You too sir.I know I'm not a staff member, but I'd like to say something:

Again, if we can help with restoring stuff, we're here to do it.Thank you to all those of you saying positive things! We're dealing with the issues as best we can, and it would be far far harder to do if you guys were all ganging up on us.
I have an update on the schedule, and it's not all good news. My intention is that we get you the showcase post by the end of saturday, followed by the medals some time next week. However, the technical issues have robbed us of a significant chunk of time we expected to have, and so the planned exhibition game will not go ahead. My apologies - I know this will disappoint some of you.
