Oh god... my amateur tf2 project totally died. I originally started this for the pl contest that was set to end sometime around the end of last year / beginning of this year. But... things came up... they always do.

The lack of [custom] particles in custom maps might have been the reason why I lost interest (I'm not sure if there is a way to do that yet). The last thing I remember working on (besides gimmicky textures) was... I think it was called ambient occlussion... adding some kind of soft shadows to the texture. I never did figure out how to do that, despite all the reading I did.
Anyways... if anyone wants, I can put up the [unfinished] model... or the originals for editing... if I can find them. There's probably some better models out there now though...
