Not to beat you down, it looks great, but, why?
I ... don't know. I just did it for fun.

Online map viewer I presume?
This would require to serve textures from the game (see why this causes legal issues here: http://blog.tojicode.com/2011/09/source-engine-in-webgl-tech-talk.html). And even if there was some magical way to load this content from the Steam servers (SteamPipe is supposed to run on HTTP after all), loading ALL the textures needed by a map through HTTP would be incredibly long. But if you really need it, you could still display the map with just solid colors (there's even a way to make it look a little better by hand-editing the color values in the VMF).

The blue texture feels more like it would fit a massive wall of screens or a solar panel.

Red side should be Red not Blue IMO...

Thanks - ya this is usually the standard thing but this map is on an abandoned moon base - so I'm trying for an over all alien feeiling

It's not a bad texture, but I'm not sure it fits TF2. It's too clean and perfect. It doesn't look very good on large surfaces either, when it tiles too much it looks really repetitive. Look at the textures they've been making for rd_asteroid.. it's basically a grey texture with random darker grey squiggles on it to suggest layers of metal plating.

My suggestion would be to desaturate the blue a bit, get rid of the bevels and create a normal map that does the same thing, and add some noise to give some variety.

I do like the ceiling texture in the computer room though, it works well there.

you might be able to do something cool looking with purple as a neutral colour...

Damn - my colourblindness - I thought it was purple already!!:mad:

What's wrong with Crafty? I used it just a couple months ago to view a map.

Granted it was a vmf in the process of being imported into Blender, do you mean the bsp support is broken these days?
Support for loading models and textures has been broken since even before SteamPipe, I think; I can't remember the last time I got the BSP viewer to work. And Nem has dropped off the face of the earth and not updated anything in years.

I can assure you that the name warehouse has already been used by hundreds of maps at this point.

Also makes no sense in-universe for both teams to have bases in the exact same building.

Other than that, looks like a good first attempt. Bit claustrophobic, though.

There's actually an outside section not shown here, so the teams aren't spawning in the same building.
