Hello. I will be hosting a dedicated testing mini-gameday starting at 6PM EST on March 16th, 2023 on the US test server. Mappers are to submit their map to be tested in this gameday; This is not first come first serve; If your map is undeveloped (We're not testing the stereotypical a1's here) or obviously flawed, your submission will be ignored and will not be tested during this gameday. I will be combing through every submission on this thread in four hours (9PM EST), so submit quickly.

The results are in. I'd like to preface this with the fact that the highest priority for a map being chosen out of these is that they have a decent chance of making it into the summer update. As such, there are admittedly some regretful cuts I have to make based on what I've looked.

So, here we are:
@Lacry, KOTH Bound will be in Slot 1. Your map will begin at roughly 6:05PM EST.
@Uncuepa, A/D Drypine will be in Slot 2. Your map will begin at roughly 6:30PM EST.
@Tekku, KOTH Forge will be in Slot 3. Your map will begin at roughly 7:00PM EST.
@Tiftid, PL Boatload will be in Slot 4. Your map will begin at roughly 7:25PM EST.

As for everyone else, I would like to give some thoughts and some reasons why you weren't chosen.
Your map had a visual error when the 9PM EST time limit ran out; I would like to apologize for not choosing your map this time, as I think you have something good going for the most part. Logstershore, at least from my experience, has been pretty fun in imps and I hope you continue development on it.
Simply put, I did not pick your map this time because it has snow on it; It's bad timing. I think Fjord is one of the most fun KOTH maps of 2023, however I do not want to test it in a focused gameday setting until the Summer Fiesta is done and over with. I hope you understand.
Looking over this map, it seems very interesting! I think you've got a good basis for a pub 5CP map in the works right now, and I hope you continue on it! However, I did not choose to add it to the lineup this time is because I did not want to exhaust players by playing three symmetrical maps in a 4-map lineup, especially 5CP because this gamemode gets a ton of complainers. In spite of that though, again I really do hope you keep working on Sector Sweep! It looks fun :)
I think Despair Heights is far enough along where it no longer really needs gameplay feedback, and should instead have its development really home in on getting those finer details of a map's look down. I've seen this map evolve over the last few months and honestly you've convinced me that Despair Heights is a fun KOTH map. I really hope it makes it into the Summer Update! You should be proud of yourself! :D
First of all, I just want to say that taking an overview look of this map for the first time really stunned me. I was genuinely surprised at Blast; I always remembered it being not very fun, but looking at it again with fresh eyes... this is eye-opening! I think you really understand what makes a steeltype work, and while I have some minor gripes with a few parts around last I can live with them being here. What ultimate was the killing blow was, sadly, the estimated development time and overall likelyhood of Blast being added to the game; I mean this in the nicest way possible, but I don't believe steeltypes have much of a chance making it into regular TF2 anymore. I think Valve is afraid to add them. If Caldera makes it in this year though, I will eat my unusual pumpkin hat and give you a handshake. You've honestly struck a chord with me today.
I've said it to you before and I will say it again; I really think you need to shorten your map. Reverse Capture the Flag works at its best when a map is short, as players don't have to play it like some deathslaughter-fest 3CP or even 5CP map. I respect what the map attempts to do, as not many people are brave enough to attempt reverse CTF, but plainly speaking, this ain't it chief. I do hope you keep improving the map though.
I was genuinely surprised by Pilfer when I opened it up. My previous impression of the map had been that it had barely been updated since its "COS" days, as the pictures on the map thread show what may as well be a completely different map. This however is interesting to me! I like how condensed the map is; It really makes it easier for teams to really take out the robots together, and not have to worry about insanely hard pushes. ...In spite of all the positives I have for it though, I'm sorry to say that I will be rejecting this map for the same reason as I did for cp_blast. I believe Robot Destruction simply does not have a place in official TF2 anymore, non-asteroid or otherwise. The gamemode was abandoned almost a decade ago, which is saddening. I genuinely believe you have the best RD map I've seen yet though, so please please please! Keep improving this. I want to see this map succeed, even if it doesn't go official.
