We'd prefer you didn't work on old projects, instead taking the time for something newer and more creative.
That would be prefered, but would it be against the rules to simply present the artpass? Also this is a fairly new project, if that has any weight in the matter. The map itself wouldnt be the final product, the artpass would be what we submit. I hope that makes sence...

Do our maps have to be fully textured or can we have dev textures as well?

Are you going to be working at the normal times (6pm GMT) or do you want it tweaked for your time zone?
6pm GMT would be 8pm in my timezone.
I think I would like to start working at 5 pm in my timezone. (GMT +2)

By the way, I have spread the word on the TF2 community I am admin at.

I'm in Jersey, and it's been warm as hell. I don't know where in Jersey it's been cold :p

And yes, maps are fine.

Well, Jersey City, NJ is cold asf so. yeah. Oh yeah FrozenR, I'm kinda new to mapping, do you think you can teach me a few things that aren't in UEAKCrash's mapping tutorials (Water, bumpy stuff) etc. Not forcing just asking.

I've been meaning to try and write some sort of brushwork editor - perhaps I could see how much of it I could create for the jam. Probably not much more than a viewport and block creation, but it gives me a deadline to get everything in order.

I am thinking of doing something in excel for either (maybe even both)

1. Tools to help with stat analysis (maybe for comp or just general) but more likely
2. Making a toolbox of useful trading things or something to help with trading.
3.
Your ideas! Most number crunching, sorting or comparing can be done but any ideas welcome and I will see the feasibility.

Looking for:

  • suggestions (particularly for tool box but also for what stats to be crunched)
  • stuff you want help with (see point 3)
  • someone with access to lots of tf2 based stats
  • People who are interested in testing it.
  • Traders ( the more the merrier)
  • People to talk to while I stream. Can I put my twitch link here? Here it is. (Tell me and I will take it down)
I have ideas but a lot I have already done so that won't do.

Excel is not as boring as it sounds. Promise!

Edit: add me if you are able/interested in helping. (Please comment on my wall first)

Ok, I think I will be off this jam.
Today I lost all of the progress of my map.
I won't bother trying to remake it for now.
But some day I will.

you may want to look into version control to create an history for your project, making it impossible to lose work. There are very few examples of how it can be applied to mapping but it will be better documented in the near future
