Bits of old rotten wood, like planks or something.
Skybox version of the buoy
a swamp version of nature/rockwall005 with an alternative grass trim at bottom and top (shouldn't be too hard with the material already there to work with).
swamp overlay versions of overlays/grassborder01 which could be entirely custom, or an easy hue conversion. (although i think a new version would be most appropriate).
A small swampy pipe using a swampy version of the metal/wall029 texture with approximate diameter of 64 Hammer units. (only has to be basic hollow cylinder)
Some models that might be welcome (in case some people are going to make a real map for it):
Fake animals like the cow but then of swamp creatures
Animated mud like its boiling or something.
Camp fire logs (just the logs - nothing dynamic)
If it doesnt exist, some tf2 like fire.
A mud bomb as payload - sort of large jarate filled with mud?.
Swamp water without reflections
Some tent textures.
Some skins of existing valve models:
Muddy respawn lockers
Muddy respawn gates
Muddy capture point base
Mud splashes (to use on existing textures)
Mud footstep tracks
some smaller trees, some mangrovey, some more like the butress tree. and catfish, and some walkways. then my map will be complete! Oh, and some wood!
Also, some lanterns and wooden posts from which to hang them.
I dont know if it's possible, but like get a squelching sound for when you walk on some of the mud textures or something. I take it that would be editing the .vmt though.
I think a fully dynamic croc might be possible. Just make a croc without a top jaw, and a separate top of head. Then we can decide how open it's mouth is, make it open and close with door rotating, or make it so if you step of his lower jaw, the top closes and the kill trigger activates.
I was thinking of something a bit more rustic, akin to the 2fort lantern. A second swamp lantern, something that doesn't look like it belongs on the front porch of someone's home in Louisiana.
Louisiana has swamps, so I'd say it fits
Also, some pipes covered in algae (like ceiling pipe thick) and maybe a 256 and 128 version with a broken end for underwater bubbles or leaks to come out of would be good.
Darker lilypad textures
Lilypad models (with both alive & dead versions)
Stuff to make the water more interesting - e.g. driftwood, underwater plants, fish particles
A couple more tree models
Convert some of the existing overlays into a sign prop (such as the intel one - but with white wood)
White, dirty wood texture
Many more algae and stain textures
Some sort of holiday park sign, like in L4D's Blood Harvest e.g. "Welcome to Gulliver Park"
A dedicated rolling mist particle
A seperate mosquito-only particle (assuming one doesn't exist already)
A picnic blanket texture (with plate and picnic hamper prop)
A skeleton ragdoll (I'd suggest modifying the one from Episode Two)
A lot of suggestions, most seem simple
Dark brown/muddy green reskins of these? Just to add more foilage that can be poking out of the water.
Perhaps a rainy version of the soundscapes present?
Muddy footbrints overlay, both for making it look like they sink into mud and one to go over like wood flooring
Broken Down Cars
Beat Up Pinball Machine
Larger swamp-themed TF2M poster (sorry, but it's my job) However, wooden zombie cutout would be pretty sweet.
A vine material that can be used as a rope rather than the displacement.
This is more complicated than it sounds. For the one that is just a vine (no muck hanging off it) there were no problems to make a rope material.
But the other one WITH the muck is very problematic. 1, it turns upsidedown from the other angle and 2. afaik, ropes doesn't handle alpha channels very well.
No zombies in my TF2. That's an absolutely horrid idea. :|
