Part 1 done! See [ame=http://forums.tf2maps.net/showpost.php?p=116945&postcount=49]here[/ame] - ABS

This is a friendly bout; we will both be tackling a pre-set KOTH setup in a given space and time. The kicker is, we'll be broadcasting both our efforts simultaneously via Livestream. This will be hosted via our favorite community, 2fort2furious.
A little about the community via our admin:
Originally an in-house event, we realized that this would be a great event for people to watch some rather experienced mappers work against each other, as well as experiencing something a little bit more intense than the mapping side of our community usually provides. I'll be narrating most of my work, and demonstrating solid optimization and displacement techniques, as well as highlighting important time-saving features throughout the course of the map. Ace's stream is slightly delayed, but you'll be able to see that he outpaces me in most respects of mapping! However, I intend to kick his ass
Additionally, our shoutbox will let you talk with other viewers and respond to the livestreams which will be streamed side-by-side! Check out the interface:
So, to get you all in on the fun, we're relaxing our membership rules (which usually rely upon consistent server time and mic use) temporarily:
So:
Though this is to get you guys to be able to watch both livestreams and discuss, perhaps you'll find our community dynamic interesting, or stay to test upcoming maps, as well as your own, with one of the most popular and regularly filled servers out there. Hope to see all of you there, and if you like what you see, we have a community movie night every Friday that begins shortly after IRON MAPPER ends.

FLOOR_MASTER said:2fort2furious is a Steam community created shortly after TF2 was released. Our aim is to provide a mature and drama-free group of servers and a forum for members to enjoy. While the focus is on TF2, we've since branched out, running nearly 20 game servers, ranging from L4D to smaller Source mods.
Our TF2 servers are the original home of the TF2 Karaoke mod and Goomba stomping mod, videos of which have gained notoriety on sites like Kotaku and have been passed around Valve software. Beyond the gimmicks, we offer a diverse and high-quality map rotation, with over 60 maps in regular rotation. The rotation changes dynamically based on the time of day and number of players.
We've been very supportive of the custom map community, having playtested countless maps and having provided valuable gameplay feedback for a large segment of those. Valve-selected community maps such as Steel and Yukon, and to a lesser extent, Watchtower, used 2f2f as their early testbeds. Frontier, Glacier, Repository, and Indulge are a but a few of the other maps that have been highly influenced by our playtests.
We're proud to have a large contingent of mappers as regular participants in our community, many of which share their mapping sessions through our Livestream channel, which is fully integrated in our forums and Shoutbox. Our Livestream is also host to other community contributors, and you'll regularly find people broadcasting drawing sessions or creating music. Mastgrr, creator of several well-known TF2 remixes as well as the infamous Cooking by the Book/Lil Jon mashup, as well as Koolfox, creator of the Rocking Fortress soundtrack, call 2f2f their home. We also host a variety of artists who regularly draw community members, fanart, and more.
Beyond TF2 and source games, our community regularly schedules other games through our unique community calendar. Recent popular games include iSketch and Company of Heroes, but anyone is welcome to create a thread about a game of their choosing, and there's almost guaranteed to be a sizeable pool of people interested in it.
