A group of 38 talented community members have begun to lift the veil off their fine creation, the most elaborately crafted fake TF2 update we've seen yet: The Medieval Update. With over 70 new custom models you can download and try out in Medieval mode, there's got to be something in there for everyone. In fine TF2 update tradition, they're releasing the details over the next few days, so keep an eye on the page.

^ Did you download them, or just look at the image? Some images are a little outdated.

yeah i think the images make em look like crap or rather i can't really see all the detail.

the "replace mine" thing is neat.

I'm wondering whether any of these items would go official.

Some of the hats look extremely low poly. In contrast to the fact most people usually make items with too many.

Man I don't want to read all this god damn text
Yeah, same. This and some other recent fan TF2 thing that I forget had too many wordswordswords, and frankly, if Valve didn't write it, I'm not going to spend my time reading what is more than likely a poor facsimile of the Valve writers' cleverness and wit.

Yeah, I agree. Except for the medic's hacksaw, I don't really see these as particularly inspired or exciting. Been seeing some really great stuff at polycount lately, so I might be biased by that.

That's why I stopped visiting polycount. The work there is almost too professional that it's discouraging at times.

If valve buys this and puts it all in the game, I'll stop playing forever.

For about a week, then I give in and and want to play with the new toys.
