One of the soldier's achievements is "Use a grenade to gib a player". So does that mean the soldier's 4th weapon is a grenade?

overall id say all the new weapons are...nice, didn't get the same "holy shit" reaction the sword and shield got, but, interesting none the less
The Buff Banner will definitely be fun to see in action.

Interesting that the equalizer is a strict upgrade to shovel. Seems it'll be like fun.
Valve is definately running out of ideas.... I mean, come on... A sword and shield? and then a sticky bomb launcher that is made for camping demos?.. That's a pretty shit update IMO. The soldier got a great update in my mind, even though the bugle is... a bit along the lines of the 10 second CTF cap bonus and the demo's new tools. I think valve could have done a much better job sticking to the demoman as a mercenary, not a raving scotsman.
I'm also mad because the demo's new sticky will be the backburner for demos. I could hold off a room with that thing... you call that balanced?
I on the other hand can't wait to try this stuff out
The unbalance doesn't lie in it holding off one room, but, for example, both exits to the yard in granary. However, you need to LOOK at your traps, and that's one damn big disadvantage.
In my opinion, fantastic update. All unlocks seem good.
There seems to be a huge focus on melee weapons since this update.
Chances are though that i'll still use the spade. 2 hits kill most players. Plus, the chances are if you've expunged that much ammo to warrant using your spade you'll only need 1. Additionally to the fact that expunging said excessive amount of ammunition into your enemies, usaully grants you a heavy crit chance due to the high damage dealt. Additionally additionally, soldiers and heavies are number 1 spot for being healed by medics due to their over heal advantage. Public play may lack considerable team cooperation, but it certainly doesn't lack basic medic play.
Being as slow as the soldier is, if he equipped his "equaliser", that would be cause enough for me to wip out my crappy secondary and plug a couple 9mm into him as i kite him.
I might find it interesting to use, but i doubt i'd ever relinquish my trusty entrenching tool.

edit: also, how come we can't download the achievement icons?
I like the update so far, and can't wait to try this stuff out.
And maps will probably come tomorrow.
Hopefully Dario's PL map with-a-twist(as he said) comes out in this update.
