I want those trees D:

For some reason it feels that the cliff and the stone ramps don't really fit in. I can't really judge though, haven't seen it ingame.

That clock tower looks a bit weird at that spot, by the way - all buildings around it are rather ramshackle and messy, while the clock (at least from this angle) looks perfect.

Ooooops. Whilst the map is now 100% sealed so I can compile it fully, I forgot to double check my sprite filename first.

The pumkin model has this weird "thing" where the stalk has a pulsing yellow glow. Is that just me or have you noticed (and removed) it for your pumpkins. I couldn't really tell if it was happening on those in your SS's too.

The pumpkins or the jack-o-lanterns?

Its actually weird how you see that kind of thing alot in real life as really old mansions require strange and powerful upgrades to modernize their utilities. They weren't designed with wiring and venting and whatnot in mind.

Don't I know it.

Yes, that's my basement. It's a 130--140 now?--year old stone farm house. Its almost to the point where there's more "utility" down there in the rafters than "rafters." Mind, none of it shows upstairs, there've been enough modern renovations adding walls that there's space for it all (though the power/phone lines in my room run inside a base board).

Hey there, let me divert the talk about electricity and light switches. Here is a render of tree clusters I'm making into skycards:

The trees themselves are nearly at the point I want them, I'll probably showcase them sometime later.

Either the trunks are unusually thick or the canopy is unusually small. At least that's the feeling i get.

@ coagulated

My point was the prop is an industrial one which looks out of place in any other theme. You wouldn't see this kind of switch installed into a mansion. It would be smaller and more stylish (regardless of whether it was installed pre or post construction). Industrial switches like the one seen here are designed to take heavy punishment from the environment they exist in, such as a warehouse where large objects are transported/stored and might damage the wires if such things were to fall or catch them; it simply wouldn't be used in an elequent home. If one can afford a mansion, one can assume the occupent can afford a set of retro light switches; and if the wires had to be exposed on the outter wall they wouldn't be covered in a thick plain metal tube, they would be pinned to the wall with staples (like: this).

It kinda sucks that there are only a few decent modellers on the TF2 scene that would take on collab projects.

Whilst i imagine each map gets judged on their own merits i can't help but feel that privately hogging one of said modellors puts an unfair handi-cap into play.

>:|

I'm just being a sour grape here, but the sheer quantity of models this one map is getting is making me something of a green eyed monster.

Don't get me wrong, both you individuals are bringing amazing things to the TF2 table. It's just a shame this circumstance can't be shared by more people.

I've had many PMs and messages asking for permission to use my models in their artpasses. I've said yes to all of them. I've even made models for people specifically for their artpass entries. I'm in no means holding out against anyone. Those who've asked of me have received.

And for anyone who wants to know: 60 mb of materials, and that isn't expected to grow any larger.
