I want the admins to not let any contest maps be uploaded and played on the 24 player servers. 'Course, this would cause us to be allowed to use the 12 player servers we have, which isn't many - so maybe the 24 player ones could be locked and only used with 12 people.

I expect hella issues with the Public Vote since it's 6v6, and I don't see that happening the majority of the time.

Competitive doesn't mean 6v6. 6v6 is just a competitive style of play.

For the purposes of this contest, it effectively does. I suppose I wouldn't mind a rigorous evaluation including something like highlander, but that's besides the point. The point is, if these maps are evaluated and judged based on 12v12, this whole contest will be nothing but a big joke.

Yea, judging sessions should be 6vs6 or highlander. Anything but that would negate the point of this contest.

Highlander could be debated as being competitive or not. From what I remember, the general idea was 6v6, but then highlander got popular since the ETF2L announcement for a temporary amount of time, and now some people consider Highlander competitive.

Also, this was what I got done. Not enough time to finish it for the contest. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1490725/ctf_le2.JPG

good luck to everyone who got their maps to this stage, and more than that, i hope eeryone had fun, even if they didn't get to get a map finished in time for the deadline

It ends at 0400 UTC, which has an offset of 0. England is currently on an offset of +1, meaning the contest has another hour (well, 40 minutes), to go.

Well, according to this link posted in the submission thread it ends at 9pm PST, and it is currently 8:19pm.

Not that it makes that big of a difference, far too late for a final compile now anyway.

It's unfortunate there weren't as many final entries as originally planned :( I wish I was around to test out everyone's great maps! Good luck to all entrants!

I dunno, right now there's 23 entrees and that's quite a few! Double the last contest. But yeah, good luck to everyone who's entered!

I assume the TF2Maps server will be running a maplist of all the entries for as long as the judging process goes, like the last major contest? Just wondering what the "special gamedays" thing meant and how it affects non-gameday time on the server.
