1 overlay? :/
He'll just say if i submitted it 1 day early then that was 1 day i had to notice that missing submission requirement. Rules are rules and they're a lot more strict since the contests have gotten more popular. It sucks, but i don't doubt it'll come down to a disqualification; i mean why should i get special treatment? Even if it's something as petty as a missing overlay.
At best i'll get to enter it but not get a chance to win anything because it's not fair on those who have met all the submission requirements.
well...you could always argue that if it wasn't for hammer borking and then servers borking, that A: you had less time to work on the map and give it a "adhering to rules" pass, and B: fewer people got to run around it who MIGHT have pointed it out to you. (it's not impossible)
but all that aside, we're trying to build a friendly community here, surely?
heck, in the spirit of fairness i was going to submit colt's ctf_soda on his behalf because he's not been online for a month (according to steam at least), but then he popped online to let me know he was pulling out of the contest.
@ immortal D (and anyone else in the know):
oh and in regards to what can be fixed/can't be fixed:
gameplay issues - does that mean if some area REALLY needs some sight-line breaking up, can an appropriate model (asthetically speaking) be used, or would it have to be just a dev-textured brush?
or is does it just only refer to things like "i forgot to turn on my playerclips when compiling", "my inputs/outputs are broken so my doors don't work", etc?
