guess what guys, I finally got around to talking to my potential girlfriend. But to get to the conclusion I must talk about what led up to it.

(we'll call her Bonnie for ease of communication)

Sooo... 2.5 months ago Bonnie moved to my city, I didn't know her at the time, but over the last few weeks I got to know her better and better. To the point where she was somebody I wanted to be more than a friend with. I got the courage (and oprotunity) to ask her some dating advice:

what should I do if I like a girl and don't know how to express it to them... and will it work on you?

from what I could tell she liked me, but then I get this:

I would wait it out, if she likes you getting to know her better isn't going to change that and if she was trying to be nice by letting you down then you were allways going to be just friends.

I'd still hang out with her and when you think she's over her dead bf (which will probably be quite some time tbh) then ask her out.

Nah, but in all seriousness i've learnt that ultimately rejection is just rejection no matter the reasons or excuses given. I'd never advise in taking it personally. The amount of times a girl has lied to me because she thinks i'll be crushed... I actually get more wound up at those situations more than them simply being honest about things and saying they're simply not interested in persuing a relationship with me. The classic "i'm seeing someone else" pisses me off to no end. Plenty of times I have been asked out by THEM and then they turn around at the next social event and are like "actually, yea i have a boyfriend". A) You clearly don't, if it was an innocent firendly invite why would you say that before anything else to me (like enquiring as to my intentions) and if it wasn't merely an innocent friendly invite why would you say that to me if you did have a boyfriend in the first place.

Girls say stupid shit all the time because they think they'll crush your heart and ultimately the reasons they give don't mean anything, what they desire whether they were honest or not is that they want to be friends and not have a relationship. She clearly wants to be your friend and you will either be friends or you can't handle that and you'll grow apart because you only wanted more.

to the rest of you, I don't get worked up about many girls, I've never had a gf, and I choose girls I "like" very wisely. I think I made bonnie cry... it's ironic because her twin sister was the one I origanally liked and I could have used this advice then. But I'm going to live and the world won't end today. I know better than to push a girl for something she doesn't want, and I can accept that she doesn't want to go out with me (at least right now).

If you'd waited another 6 months you'd potentially have missed plenty of other worth while opportunities with other girls that objectionably deserve equal amounts of your interest. I know i have.

When i was 19 i missed 3 opportunities to go out with girls i really liked because i was waiting months on my ex of 3 years to make up her mind on whether she wanted to get back together or not. I was an idiot and biased to the fact that i could potentially salvage something familiar and that had worked and been great (the reasons for our breakup were purely third party based (her family)). In the end i waited 20+ months only for her to get with another guy without telling me and i had missed a number of great opportunities along the way. But i guess that's always the gamble; you apply a certain amount of value onto something you become familiar with, such as a budding friendship, rather than something you cannot account for like future friendships/relationships.

The important thing i guess is that you had the courage to bring it up and say how you felt even if you were rejected in the end.

Sit down and shut up. You're about to get the best dating advice ever. Please note, this is not advice on how to get laid every weekend. The following shit will improve your life.

1) Just be friendly and nice to a lot of bitches. Fat ones, ugly ones, whatever. Girls are people too and are pretty fucking cool. So be real even if you don't plan on dippin' your dick in. Form meaningful friendships with women and you'll actually know what they are like.

Effect: Girls know other girls, and your circle of potential women will expand. Also you'll be a decent human being.

How you broke this rule: A few fucking weeks isn't enough time to get to know anyone you child. You don't know her, and she sure doesn't know you. Girls spend a ton of their time fending off lusty neck-beards and can spot 'em a mile away. Today you were that jerk.

Yea, funny that. It's an odd thing that whether something is considered sweet or creepy is based purely on the recipients perspective on you. You read a girl a poem and if they're attracted to you it's romantic as hell, if they're not you get a restraining order.
