Aren't you happy that now sentrys can be placed on roofs in difficult to shoot areas?

Well, I wouldn't say that is easy to build level 3 sentry for just that.

Yea, first you have to setup your level 3 sentry, which is the hardest part.

Actually wouldn't that really depend on the server? On most servers sentrys seem to be built pretty quickly and roofs usually have alot of cover.

Knew it :p Already tried jumping in jump_pagoda got to 8th lvl :D
It will be really fun to use on maps, but it will also be pain for mappers (or not).

I would prefer Valve make it so that you take zero knockback from your own turret's rockets or bullets. I believe spies should be able to follow Engineers wherever they go as much as possible.

Holy crap this is going to break SO MANY MAPS

On a related note, I think sentry-moving is going to mean a new level of consideration by mappers, especially when it comes to the start of a payload/assault map. Specifically, whether or not they want to allow (or carefully prevent) the attacking team from setting up some turrets prior to gate-opening.

Very valid point, it's quite cool now but in a couple of months when people know the best places to jump and setup a sentry I can imagine it being near imposible to destroy it, especially if they've got a spare medic/engineer on hand.

I now am switching to Engie, forever.
It's sooo fun. I love it <3
I also love Wrangler missile airshots + Air wrenching demos.

well, every update has its fair share of exploits. Do you think valve will fix this, or leave it as it is? Also, from what I recall, sentry rockets have a lot more knockback than a rocket, and an engineer flies a lot further.

They might nerf it, but without the threat of killing yourself the wrangler delves deeper into the depths of OP.

I suspect this will go unpatched.

Like I said, I think the best fix is to keep the "threat of killing yourself", simply remove self-knockback from your own sentry.

Simple, safe (well, not for the engineer) effective.
