    I'm really happy with the progress so far. I want to extend my thanks to all those helping me, especially MaccyF for his awesome modelling work!

    -Prop clutter!
    -New custom models
    -finalizing textures and lighting
    -more 3D skybox work (making it less goofy)
    -moved the bear

    For the airplanes, keep the TF2 time line in mind. We're talking about mid to late-60s, so modern looking planes look really out of place. Around that time it's mostly prop planes and then a few big jetliners.

    the boeing 707 was flown from 1958: ( i loosely based the jet on one of these, with bits of the 747 thrown in)[​IMG]

    also, before the 70's there wasn't really much airport security, so hangar probably is set in the early 70s

    Well the 707-like jet has 2 different sized engines. Please make these not 2 different sizes and it'll look much better.

    -wall to prevent spawn camping on high ground
    -rounded windows on doors
    -added some tree things into play area
    -added sneaking tank>roof jump for skilled players
    -fixed global metal detector praise the fucking lord

    You should add some potted plants or something inside to give it more substance. Right now it still looks kind of empty and certain parts feel more like an employee maintenance area than something meant for public use.

    Also I'm not sure about that metal texture in the doorways, I think it makes the walls look a bit like cardboard.

    -DETAIL!
    -out of bounds detail got a huge upgrade with the shops and airport getting some distinctive features
    -pretty prop stuff like pot plants
    -finally built some more stairs and railings indoors
    -huge shadow and lighting changes that will hardly be noticed but im not sad about it
    -i dunno the bears back probably

    This is the prettify update. Make all the boxy roofs looks more interesting, the more bland walls more appealing and the HDR better. It is a little bright at time, but visibility is good. I hope this is the last beta update. I need custom models for the plane, baggage carrier, more luggage models AND some simple shop clutter, but other than that the map is almost done.

    -Detail
    -New brushwork plane. Much smaller and better looking.
    -Additional cover indoors
    -Widened and simplified upper spawn exit
    -Improved audio (Soundscapes and Metal Detector)

    Great concept and really like the layout, played this a few times on a friend's server. Are the departures and arrivals placeholder names, or are you keeping them like that? I feel like putting the names of other maps or areas that already exist within TF2 would make more sense than something like "Plane place"

    but foreal they are as much work in progress as the rest of the map so if I feel it necessary to change it, I will. But right now I find it too amusing.

    A Plea to Modellers

    Hangar's development has been one of great success spread over a year now. The overwhelming support from all, big shoutouts to @MaccyF, @Muddy and @Egan for all their amazing help. Things sadly have stagnated. The final custom models needed to call the map RC1 are yet to be modelled and I've so far been relying on the generosity of @MaccyF for custom models. To get the final models made, these being Big Plane, Baggage Carousel, Windsock, additional luggage models and Baggage Handler, I am offering $30USD for someone to help me out. I know it's not much for a lot of work, so I am begging for kindness to help me finish Hangar. All previously mentioned and the new modeller will be given status as contributor on the workshop. All I need from any willing modellers is proof of quality previous work and a co-operative nature. Help me finish Hangar!
