I just went onto Amazon, and searched for the cheapest tablet I could find. It's a Genius (brand). If I remember, it was about $25. It works fine for anything I need, and is 8x6. I sometimes have problems getting it to work, but then I just tap the pen on it really hard, and it starts working again. I would suggest it to anyone!

only thing I've really done on the computer is my current and previous avatar in Gimp since it is long and tedious with just this mouse

as I read this thread an add for the BAMBOO PEN appears at the top of my screen

I tend to stick with Wacom, they seem to make the best tablets. I used to have a Graphire of some description but it was getting old and didn't work well on multi-monitor setups (I'm told the newer Wacom tablets do)

More please, they all went straight into my desktop rotation folder. :)
What they both said!

Photography can also be art, right?

Drew this earlier this week in Calc.

[snip]

I just got a Bamboo tablet for Christmas, though I haven't used it yet. Guess I'm too attached to my pencil and paper.

Heh that's pretty sweet.

If its the first tablet you've ever used you should give it a go, it's very intuitive once you get used to it.

I was always such a perfectionist that i ruined good sketches by digitising them, badly. This one is kinda ok though. Got hooked on the Tau from WH40K and my "royal gaurd" paint scheme.

Also i could never get manga down properly.

Nacimota, those are quite nice! I tried to do some abstract 3D stuff with Blender a while ago but I was never much good with it. I might dump a few images if I come across the folder.

I do, however, compose music! Hopefully this will be of some interest, even though it's not exactly visual art.

Nice, do you have a midi file of that? I'd like to listen to it too :p

I also make music (yay) but more in an electronic way:
