Alright I think my main beef with the map (and a lot of people that I've talked with) is that it's easier to defend A and B then C. Yes it is possible to defend C (I've played on this map long enough to find that out) however it still seems like the balance is off when most games where red wins is by defending B and it seems like C isn't even there.
I think it's easy to attack B. I've never seen much player defending it. Point A is harder to attack. It's well balanced, imo. And C is very difficult to attack.
Also found this while playing, sniper standing on a near non-existent ledge which I think was far wall of Cap A opposite where Blue come from
Please add loud obnoxious sounds to the laser! (Both the opening and firing). Thought the map was balanced enough imo - the scramble sorted things out and led to a close one on C
Night Testing Feedback: Played nicely, didnt notice to much of a difference in the spawn times since their wasnt much testing, but still played great. I believe red defended C everyone except 1 maybe. Blu capped both points every round except 1 time they could not take A.
I quite like that im actually able to play offensive engie on defense without getting my ass (and my teams) kicked on this map.
Following up on this, the exact same thing happened on Gravelpit and I've heard stories of it happening on cp_glacier, so it's probably not a map-specific issue, but more of a game mode one. I think Valve broke something in one of the updates. I sent a bug report...a while ago. Anyone know how often they check those?
Only on 5-CP. Attack/Defend maps run until the map round timer is up, and if the server timelimit is below a certain point it'll change to the next map at the round end.
Hope the test was some help tonight, if you ever want to try another add me on steam: b_myne or just talk to sawks.
Did you notice we're doing some more _test compiles? that means we're working on another version. that will (with 95% certainty) be the 'final' version. what its called, _b5 or _rc... _b5 is more likely
It still has this thing: This is a real pain in the ass for every mapper. It would look really fugly if it would still be there in the final release.
