For theme I'm thinking snow, or maybe glacier. Could be fun to see how people use ice.

Early Jan would work best for people, maybe the second? So we have Friday night to Monday night to map.

I'm fine with themes, I don't get the issue with medieval?

I actually already have an idea in my head for the contest, and I really like my idea, and I don't want it ruined by a theme.

What's stopping people from just making a map and having it all prepared before the competition

Alright, so I won't be able to host the 72hr contest. I have a few projects that I need to focus on, and some bigger things coming up that will also require prep/focus on my part.

That being said, Geit has volunteered to run the contest the weekend of January 23rd. More info to come from him sooooooon.
