Hello everyone, with Valve's release of their map source files, there have been a couple map edits so far. I know it's looked down upon but I ask you put that dislike aside for a moment. I'm basically looking for opinions on what's done, some of my ideas to do and in general your criticism.
One idea I have had floating around for a long time was cp_2fort, I had only ever mapped out the control points in my mind, and it's same general set up anyone else would likely think of. Now that the source files are released, I decided to put that plan into action.
Middle CP on the bridge, CP for each team in the courtyards, and the final two in the intel rooms.
However, I believe that's just a cop out, I'm going to put at least some effort into this. I only started very recently, but here's what I have done.
Middle CP

Now here's where some effort is going to be going. The two entrances to the intel room are far too cramped for things so I'm going to be modifying it. Here it is right now, I'm obviously going to add some details to it, possibly some pillars.
Final CP (Only Blue so far)
This is what I've done after a bit time working on this, I intend to do more, even if this map will be for my private use with friends or whatever.
Anyway, there's a couple ideas I wanted to get some opinions on.
I've seen a melee-only version of 2fort and there's also arena_2fort, one thing both of these maps have that I think this map would benefit from is having a ramp or staircase out of the water.

I think there are pros and cons to having this in the map. I definitely want some opinions on this
Another big modification I want to make is bridging the sewers to the bottom room like so

Again, pros and cons and I'd like some opinions. This gives the teams another route to enter the final area and the courtyard point.
In closing, I hope you'll be a little open minded about me modifying Valve's map. I look forward to anyone's criticism and opinion.
