However people will still say that one person stole their map. So you have to get your map out first.
The assets you use are part of a content pack available to everyone and anyone. Having the same feel isn't theft, it's inspiration unless the map itself (the layout and objective) is directly stolen.

Nobody will see you like that. For the most part, people won't notice a similar idea unless it's either very distinct, or you've nicked the layout. (Ultimately it's seen on a case-by-case basis, but I don't think you're in any danger of being labelled negatively)
But somebody will take it as steeling so I have to treat everyone like that because I don't know who will take it too far and think it's steeling.

That's their problem, not yours.
It can be my problem because if they tell a staff member they can take down my map or ban me.

lmao. TF2Maps staff aren't going to take down your map because one person claimed it was stolen.
They can. If the person who says it stolen is good friends with the staff member. Then they can take it down.

That will never, ever happen. The TF2M staff are trustworthy and unbiased and they will not delete someone's map without good, hard evidence, regardless of who made the map and who reported it.

Frankly, if I were a staff member, I'd be deeply insulted right now.

It could happen. I am just trying to be safe with my maps.

Considering our staff members are highly trusted members of the community, this is unlikely to happen.
There is a possibility of it happening. I am just trying to be safe with my maps.

I understand, but you don't have to be so paranoid about it to the point it actually hurts your map. If you really wanna do it like this, why not upload an a0 (layout, no logic), then work on it and release an a1.

The situations in which we'd take down a map for plagiarisation are pretty rare: only if they had the exact same layout, and we were sure it was deliberate not accidental. For example, there's another Frontline Trench map - Trenchfoot - by a staff member! And we know you didnt steal anything from that, so we're not going to punish you.

Trust us, we've been doing this for a while.
